About Buffalo Stadium Stones
Buffalo Stadium Stones was born when a piece of ''The Pit'' found its way into the hands of a local artist who found a way to put it back into the hands of Buffalo fans.
Our Story
Well-known Western New York artist, Richard 'Sean' Manning purchased giant circular rocks excavated from beneath Buffalo's new football stadium for a waterfall exhibit at his WNY art studios. When a small piece broke off, Sean carried it in his pocket and noticed that after a few days, the rock had turned jet black.
That little discovery sparked a much bigger one.
Sean and his wife and co-founder, Laura Jean, began researching the rock and uncovered a public engineering report detailing the geology and history of the stadium bedrock. They realized this wasn't just a piece of stone. It was a piece of Buffalo history and they wanted Buffalo fans to have a piece of their own to hold, wear, and treasure.
Our History
The idea was simple: transform authentic stadium bedrock into something people could actually carry, wear, display, and share. The result? Rub Rocks. Wearable Art Jewelry. Accessories & Collectibles.
What began as an unexpected discovery laid the foundation for a bigger mission: putting a piece of Buffalo history into the hands of fans while giving back to the community that makes this city so special.
The Mission
Buffalo Stadium Stones exists to put a tangible piece of Buffalo history into the hands of the people who love this city most. But there's another piece of the story that matters just as much: giving back.
Through product sales, community partnerships, local events, and charitable initiatives, Buffalo Stadium Stones is on a mission to use our platform to support worthy causes throughout Western New York.
